[I-NIX Processing Case] Measures Against Whisker Formation and Improvement of Hemming Die Wear

The timing for the occurrence of beard blight has dramatically increased! We are also trying for further longevity.

We would like to introduce an improvement case of the "I-NIX treatment," which enhances wear resistance and slip resistance, and serves as a countermeasure against the peeling of processing films. In the case of standard Tai-shi products, they only function normally as hemming dies for about 100,000 punches, necessitating a large number of replacement spare parts. However, after switching to hemming dies treated with I-NIX, the lifespan dramatically increased to 250,000 punches, and further success was achieved with continuous processing of 460,000 punches through shot peening treatment (WPC treatment). [Case Overview (Partial)] ■ Issues Before Treatment - The occurrence of burrs necessitated full inspection, increasing the burden on operators. - Since they only function normally for about 100,000 punches, a large number of replacement spare parts were required. ■ After I-NIX Treatment - The timing of burr occurrence dramatically extended to between 250,000 and 270,000 punches. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
